Solution 05 / Facility Cleanouts & Liquidation

Facility cleanouts planned around the handback date.

TALC separates retained, relocated, remarketable, data-bearing, recyclable, and general-removal material by room so the asset plan and landlord handback stay on the same schedule.

Area board / site-scale working view

A room-by-room scope exposes different constraints.

The board organizes the walkthrough and the open decisions. Exact areas, asset groups, removal boundaries, property requirements, and completion criteria remain specific to the site.

AreaTypical scope to reviewOperating constraint
Technical roomsServers, network, UPS-related equipment, media, racks, cabling, spares, and retained infrastructure.Shutdown authority, access, data, dependencies, and specialized removal.
WorkplaceComputers, monitors, peripherals, conference technology, furniture, records, and employee-retained items.Occupancy, sweep sequence, asset ownership, data devices, and move coordination.
Lab / testInstruments, benches, utilities, accessories, technical computers, storage, and special-review material.Isolation, handling, completeness, contamination questions, rigging, and route approval.
StorageSpares, boxed equipment, unknown assets, consumables, cases, parts, and long-unreviewed inventory.Identification confidence, ownership, hidden data devices, quantities, and exception holding.

Five disposition groups / keep boundaries visible

Not everything leaving the room follows the same disposition.

  1. Keep

Retain in place or transfer to a named client custodian.

  2. Move

Relocate to an approved destination with accessories and handoff context.

  3. Remarket

Separate assets for liquidation or value-recovery assessment before approving a commercial disposition.

  4. ITAD / recycle

Process approved electronics after data-bearing and special-handling items are separated.

  5. General removal

Clear material within the agreed non-asset removal boundary.

Countdown / from walkthrough to handoff

The date matters. So does what remains at each checkpoint.

  1. T−Review

    Walk the site by area.

Capture room boundaries, asset groups, access, occupancy, known exclusions, property expectations, target dates, and decisions that remain open.

  2. T−Plan

    Lock routes and interfaces.

Agree keep, move, recover, recycle, and remove groups; data handling; partner responsibilities; staging; loading; exception authority; and progress reporting.

  3. T−Field

    Clear in a controlled sequence.

Coordinate occupied areas, technical shutdowns, specialized equipment, mixed-asset removal, route separation, staging capacity, and daily open items.

  4. T−Sweep

    Inspect what remains.

Review rooms, closets, cabinets, overhead and underfloor areas where applicable, loading zones, retained material, debris boundaries, and unresolved exceptions.

  5. T−Handoff

Close with the property condition visible.

Connect area status, leftovers, approved exclusions, recovery or liquidation review, open repairs, access return, and project-specific evidence to the handoff.

End-state review

Leftovers, liquidation review, and property handoff are three different conversations.

  1. 01

    Leftovers

Record unknown ownership, inaccessible areas, late retention, and items outside the removal boundary.

  2. 02

    Liquidation review

Confirm identity, condition, quantity, timing, and channel before approving a commercial route.

  3. 03

    Property handoff

Review the final condition with the client and relevant property or move partner.
